Chintu the Squirrel Shares His Last Acorn

Chintu the squirrel had saved acorns all autumn, but a heavy storm had scattered his whole pile — except for one.
On his way home, he found Biji the little bird shivering on a bare branch, too weak to fly to warmer lands.
Chintu looked at his last acorn, then at Biji's tired eyes. Without a second thought, he placed it gently beside her.
"But this was your last one," Biji whispered. Chintu smiled, "Winters are long, but friends make them shorter."
The next morning, Chintu woke to find a small pile of berries at his door — a gift from all the animals Biji had told about his kindness.
